Mission Statement

The Youth Ministry Commission is gathered for the purpose of creating and implementing a comprehensive ministry program for the young people and their families of the parishes of St. Luke, St. Teresa, and St. Peter’s Cathedral in Belleville, Illinois.

Goals

1. Empowerment- to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
2. Participation- to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
3. Growth- to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

The main focus of the Commission meeting on August 23 will be to identify adult leaders to help maintain those ministries until a new coordinator can be hired.
